Pakistan and Kazakhstan to Strengthen Cooperation in IT and Telecom Sectors

Islamabad, In an effort to enhance bilateral ties, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja. The meeting focused on expanding collaboration in the IT and telecommunications fields.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Khawaja expressed a strong desire to deepen relations with Kazakhstan, particularly through the creation of a joint working group that would connect tech companies from both countries. She highlighted opportunities for technology transfer and the exchange of IT experts between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Khawaja also invited Kazakh tech companies to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan’s IT and telecommunications sector.

Ambassador Kistafin responded positively, affirming Kazakhstan’s interest in strengthening cooperation and expanding ties in these sectors. The meeting, also attended by Additional Secretary MoITT Ms. Aisha Humera Moriani, Chairman Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) Muhammad Zohaib Khan, and DG International Coordination Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi, underscored the commitment of both nations to bolstering their technological and economic collaborations.
