Islamabad, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani of Pakistan has reaffirmed the country’s strong commitment to working with Iran to combat terrorism. This resolve was expressed during a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Minister Jilani condemned the recent terrorist attack in Southeastern Iran, which resulted in the loss of several Iranian security personnel. Both foreign ministers reiterated their dedication to enhancing Pakistan-Iran ties, deeply rooted in history and culture, and agreed to increase high-level exchanges between the two nations.
In the same conversation, Jilani also addressed the critical situation in Occupied Palestine, particularly in Gaza. He emphasized the need for a ceasefire, the lifting of the siege, and the provision of uninterrupted humanitarian aid, including medical supplies. He highlighted the importance of resuming diplomatic efforts for a lasting peace in the Middle East, based on a just resolution of the Palestinian issue.
