Islamabad, In a significant development aimed at reducing tensions, Pakistan and Iran have reached an agreement to de-escalate the current situation. This agreement was reached during a telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the conversation highlighted the close brotherly relations between the two nations. Foreign Minister Jilani emphasized Pakistan’s willingness to collaborate with Iran, guided by mutual trust and cooperation. He underscored the importance of respecting territorial integrity and sovereignty as a foundation for this cooperation. Both foreign ministers concurred on the need to enhance working-level cooperation and close coordination, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts. Additionally, the return of ambassadors to their respective capitals was a topic of discussion, signaling a move towards normalizing relations.
