RAWALPINDI: In a significant diplomatic engagement, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, met with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi today. The high-level meeting focused on enhancing bilateral defense ties and assessing the current regional security landscape.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions centered around the prevailing security situation in the region and explored avenues for strengthening defense cooperation between the two neighboring countries. This meeting highlights the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address mutual security concerns and foster collaboration.
Upon his arrival, Major General Bagheri paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada. The gesture was part of a ceremonial welcome that included a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Army.
