Islamabad: Pakistan and Iran have pledged to strengthen their bilateral ties across various sectors, including trade, energy, and regional security. This commitment was reaffirmed during a telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President-elect Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian, following the latter’s recent electoral victory.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif congratulated Dr. Pezeshkian on his win, expressing anticipation for a collaborative future that strengthens the relationship between the two nations. Dr. Pezeshkian reciprocated with thanks and a shared eagerness to deepen the fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran. The leaders also discussed ongoing regional issues, agreeing to maintain close coordination and consultation moving forward.
