Islamabad, Pakistan and Iran have reached a mutual agreement to de-escalate recent tensions. This decision was reached during a telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the two ministers emphasized the strong brotherly relations between their countries. Foreign Minister Jilani expressed Pakistan’s intention to work with Iran based on mutual trust and cooperation, highlighting the importance of respecting each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Both ministers concurred on the need to strengthen working-level cooperation and close coordination, particularly in counter-terrorism and other areas of mutual concern. Additionally, the discussion touched upon the return of the Ambassadors of both countries to their respective capitals.
The agreement marks a significant step in diplomatic efforts to ease tensions and maintain stable relations between the neighboring countries.
