Islamabad, At an Iftar-dinner in Addis Ababa, the evolving relationship between Pakistan and Ethiopia was highlighted by the respective diplomats from both nations. The event, which saw discussions on the burgeoning diplomatic and trade relations, underscored mutual commitments to enhance bilateral ties and contribute to global peace and security.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador of Pakistan in Ethiopia, Atif Sharif, noted the significant milestones achieved in recent times, including the opening of the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, the inauguration of direct flights, and the increase in trade flows between the two countries. These developments mark a flourishing relationship that has grown steadily over the years.

Ethiopian Director-General for Middle East and Asia Pacific, Gebeyehu Ganga, during the event, praised Pakistan’s adherence to the United Nations Charter and its efforts in maintaining international law and order. Ganga’s commendation of Pakistan’s role in fostering global peace and security reflects the deepening respect and cooperative spirit between the two nations. He further emphasized Ethiopia’s intention to build a strong partnership with Pakistan, highlighting a shared vision for stability and development.
