Karachi, In a significant development for international relations, Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has declared the need for enhanced cooperation in the media sector with Ethiopia. This statement was made during a meeting with Ethiopian Ambassador Jamal Baker in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi emphasized the importance of media and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Ethiopia. He proposed that such interactions, especially among journalists, would be mutually beneficial, enabling the sharing of experiences and insights. Furthermore, the Information Minister expressed Pakistan’s desire to strengthen its diplomatic, political, parliamentary, and commercial relationships with all African nations, including Ethiopia, as part of its Engage Africa Policy.

Highlighting the priority of economic diplomacy in expanding trade relations with African countries, Solangi underlined that this approach is central to Pakistan’s foreign policy objectives. The Ethiopian Ambassador, in response, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to fostering bilateral relations with Pakistan, indicating a mutual interest in collaboration.
