Islamabad: Pakistan and Egypt have committed to deepening their collaboration in religious education, following a productive meeting between Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs, and Dr. Ihab Mohamed Abdelhamid Hassan, the Egyptian Ambassador to Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions focused on various strategies to enhance the bilateral relationship between the two nations, with a significant emphasis on educational ties. The Ambassador detailed plans for the establishment of an institution in Punjab that will be affiliated with Egypt’s Al-Azhar University, renowned for its religious scholarship.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen ties and mutual understanding through educational exchanges and institutional cooperation, reflecting the shared cultural and religious heritage of Pakistan and Egypt.
