Pakistan and Czech Republic Seek to Boost Science and Technology Ties

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi participated in a bilateral meeting with a delegation from the Czech Republic, aiming to enhance cooperation in science and technology. The meeting highlighted opportunities for collaboration, with a focus on emerging technologies.

The Czech Ambassador offered scholarships for Pakistani students in emerging technology fields, signifying a step toward stronger academic and research ties. Both parties underscored the importance of boosting collaboration in science, technology, and other emerging areas.

Minister Magsi acknowledged Pakistan’s improved Global Innovation Index ranking, noting the country’s skilled workforce’s contributions globally. He emphasized the need for initiatives to further develop Pakistan’s human resources in science and technology for international recognition.

The Minister also highlighted metrology’s role in industrial development and quality standards. He expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for supporting the skill enhancement of young scientists and technologists, anticipating new cooperation avenues in science, technology, and innovation.
