Pakistan and China Strengthen Ties in Information and Culture

Islamabad, Pakistan and China have pledged to enhance cooperation in the fields of information and culture, setting the stage for deeper cultural and educational exchanges between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this commitment was made during a meeting between Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong. A news exchange agreement is expected to be signed between China’s Xinhua News Agency and the Associated Press of Pakistan during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s forthcoming visit to China.

Minister Tarar emphasized the strategic significance of this trip, noting that it would cover reviews of ongoing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and discussions on new investments. He stressed that the relationship between Pakistan and China is characterized by deep trust and has evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership, with both countries benefiting from increased market access due to CPEC.

Further, Minister Tarar reassured the Chinese Ambassador about Pakistan’s commitment to the safety of Chinese nationals within its borders and highlighted positive evaluations from international journals regarding Pakistan’s economic trajectory. Ambassador Jiang praised these efforts and expressed optimism about Pakistan’s developmental path under Prime Minister Sharif’s leadership.
