Pakistan and China Strengthen Maritime Ties in Latest Dialogue


Beijing: The Fifth Round of the Pakistan-China Dialogue on Maritime Cooperation took place in Beijing, focusing on strengthening ties in maritime security, marine economy, and science. Co-chaired by Imran Ahmed Siddiqui from Pakistan and China’s Hong Liang, the discussions highlighted a commitment to long-term cooperation and future dialogues.



The dialogue marked a positive review of progress since the previous meeting. Both countries engaged in comprehensive discussions, reaching consensus on several maritime issues. This cooperation is seen as a vital part of the Pakistan-China All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.



Officials reaffirmed their commitment to building a maritime community with a shared future. Efforts will be intensified to maintain communication on maritime matters and enhance coordination on policies, emphasizing both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.



The dialogue concluded with an agreement to hold the next round in Pakistan, aiming to continue the momentum of maritime collaboration between the two nations.
