Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, is scheduled to visit Beijing from May 13 to 16 to co-chair the Fifth Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue. This high-level meeting, involving extensive discussions on bilateral relations and regional cooperation, underscores the continuing strategic partnership between the two nations.
According to Press Information Department, the dialogue with Chinese Foreign Minister and Director of the General Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, Wang Yi, will cover a wide range of topics. These include economic and trade cooperation, the advancement of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and future connectivity initiatives. The discussions are also set to address the current regional geopolitical landscape and explore avenues for deeper cooperation at multilateral forums.
During his visit, Dar is also expected to engage with prominent Chinese political and business leaders, which reflects the ongoing commitment of both Pakistan and China to strengthen their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.” This series of meetings is part of regular high-level exchanges that emphasize mutual support on core issues, enhance economic ties, and promote regional peace and development.
