Pakistan and China Pledge to Fortify Regional Stability and Oppose Unilateralism

Islamabad: Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regional peace and stability, promoting mutual respect, and jointly opposing unilateral and hegemonic policies. This renewed understanding was established during a telephone conversation between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, on Sunday.

During the discussion, Senator Dar briefed Wang Yi on the current regional situation, explicitly rejecting India’s unilateral actions and perceived baseless propaganda against Pakistan. The call underscored the shared goal of resisting unilateralism in the region.

Senator Dar expressed deep appreciation for China’s consistent support and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to its strategic partnership with China. He emphasized Pakistan’s determination to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across all sectors, reflecting the longstanding “iron-clad” friendship between the two nations.

Both sides concurred on the importance of maintaining open lines of communication and coordination at all levels to advance their shared objectives of peace, security, and sustainable development, extending their cooperation beyond the immediate region.

The conversation highlights the enduring nature of Pakistan-China relations and their collective resolve to address regional challenges through cooperation and mutual understanding.
