Pakistan and China Fortify Defense Ties During High-Level Military Talks in Rawalpindi


Rawalpindi: General Li Qiaoming, Commander of the People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces, met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters today, to discuss enhancing bilateral defense cooperation and regional security issues.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the meeting focused on deepening the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, with discussions on mutual interests, regional security, military training, and defense cooperation. General Munir emphasized the strong military relations between the two nations, attributing them to a long-standing brotherhood and shared strategic goals.



The Chinese commander praised Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and extremism, lauding the professionalism and commitment of the Pakistan Army. The visit also included ceremonial honors for General Qiaoming, who laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and received a guard of honor, reflecting the deep respect and hospitality extended by the Pakistan military.
