Pakistan and China Discuss Tax and Energy Reforms to Boost Bilateral Economic Ties


Beijing: In a significant bilateral meeting, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Minister for Energy (Power Division), Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, met with Chinese Finance Minister Lan Fo’an to discuss enhancements in economic cooperation, focusing on tax and energy reforms.



According to Press Information Department, the discussions aimed at deepening the financial and banking relationships between the two nations. The Pakistani ministers outlined the recent reforms initiated by their government in the taxation and energy sectors, aiming to improve efficiency and foster economic growth.



The meeting facilitated a robust exchange of ideas with both sides expressing a keen interest in leveraging these reforms to strengthen their bilateral economic partnership.
