Islamabad: In a significant development aimed at deepening diplomatic and economic relations, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Islamabad today. The leaders discussed a range of issues with an emphasis on enhancing bilateral trade and collaboration for regional peace and stability.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both sides expressed a strong commitment to not only boost trade but also to increase joint efforts that would contribute to regional peace and stability. Speaker Sadiq highlighted the strategic partnership between the two nations, noting the importance of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting hosted by Pakistan, which he believes will further project a positive image of Pakistan and enhance regional cooperation.

The discussions also covered the enhancement of parliamentary level cooperation, with plans to promote the exchange of parliamentary delegations in the future. This move is expected to strengthen the ties between Pakistan and China further, building on a long history of collaborative efforts across various sectors.
