Pakistan and China Collaborate to Revolutionize Public Transport with E-Bus Network


Islamabad: A high-level delegation from China met with Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, to discuss an ambitious initiative to transform Pakistan’s public transport system through the integration of electric buses and charging infrastructure.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Romina Khurshid Alam expressed gratitude to the Chinese delegates for their commitment to revamp Pakistan’s mass transit facilities. The meeting highlighted plans for a collaborative venture between Chinese and Pakistani transport firms to implement the pioneering electric transport system across various Pakistani cities.



Romina emphasized the government’s dedication to upgrading the public transport infrastructure to ensure it is reliable, secure, and eco-friendly. She noted that cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi have already started incorporating electric buses into their transit systems, aiming to diminish air pollution and foster cleaner, more sustainable urban mobility options for the populace.
