Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday emphasized the enduring and unbreakable bond between Pakistan and China, expressing optimism that the two nations would elevate their friendship and partnership to unprecedented levels.
In a message commemorating the 76th National Day of the People’s Republic of China, which is observed on October 1, Prime Minister Sharif extended his congratulations to the people and leadership of China on behalf of Pakistan’s government and citizens.
The prime minister expressed hopes for continued progress and prosperity for the Chinese people, noting that China’s National Day serves as a reminder of the country’s impressive journey, stability, and contributions to global peace.
Highlighting the strong bilateral relationship, he remarked that Pakistan takes pride in its brotherly ties with China. Under President Xi Jinping’s leadership, China has achieved significant progress and prosperity, establishing itself as a role model on the global stage.
Prime Minister Sharif stressed that the foundation of Pakistan-China relations is built on mutual trust, sacrifice, and sincerity, elements that promise peace and prosperity for future generations.
Reflecting on his recent visit to China, the prime minister described it as “highly fruitful and productive,” with historic milestones achieved in bilateral relations. Key events included the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting and a B2B conference, where investment agreements worth billions were signed.
He also mentioned the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, highlighting it as the most significant joint economic project between the two countries, which has now entered its second phase.
