MINSK: Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, leading a parliamentary delegation, visited Belarus to explore potential cooperation in healthcare, technology, and cultural heritage. The visit included stops at the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, and the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani, along with the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova and other delegation members, was briefed on Belarus’ advancements in medical technology, including organ transplantation and AI-based diagnostics. The delegation observed a live procedure at the medical center’s hybrid operating complex. Gilani acknowledged the potential for institutional linkages and exchanges in medical technology between the two countries.

At the Belarusian State Museum, the delegation reviewed exhibits on the human cost of war and the resilience of the Belarusian people. Gilani paid tribute to their efforts in preserving historical memory. He highlighted the importance of parliamentary engagement and knowledge sharing in strengthening Pakistan-Belarus relations and fostering mutual understanding.
