Pakistan and Azerbaijan Strengthen Anti-Narcotics and Security Collaboration

Istanbul: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of State for Internal Affairs, Ismat Rashid Aliyev, at the Istanbul International Expo, emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to intensifying anti-narcotics efforts and joint action against cross-border crimes. The two ministers discussed strategies to enhance long-standing bilateral cooperation, particularly in addressing regional security issues.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in combating drug trafficking, human trafficking, and terrorism. Both sides identified key areas for expanded collaboration, including border management and security coordination, and agreed to deepen mutual support in tackling these challenges.

Following the meeting, Minister Aliyev toured the Pakistani pavilion, where he commended Pakistan’s technological and manufacturing achievements, expressing optimism about further cooperative ventures in these fields.
