Islamabad: In a significant advancement of their bilateral relationship, Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed fifteen Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the MoUs were signed in Islamabad in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan. The agreements span various domains including consular affairs, transit and preferential trade, privatization, law and justice, and more.
Additionally, they cover cooperation in fields such as culture, IT and telecommunications, scientific and technical exchange, tourism, and the establishment of twin cities between Baku and Islamabad. This broad spectrum of agreements underscores a deepening partnership aimed at leveraging mutual interests for sustainable development.
