Pakistan and Australia Commit to Deepen Defense Ties During High-Level Talks


Rawalpindi, General Angus J. Campbell, Chief of Defence Forces Australia, met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, during his official visit for the 13th Round of Pakistan-Australia Defence and Security Talks.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the discussions focused on strengthening defense and security cooperation, addressing regional dynamics, and tackling global security challenges. Both sides expressed a commitment to enhancing the bilateral defense partnership.



The Australian delegation praised the professionalism and achievements of the Pakistan Armed Forces in their ongoing efforts against terrorism and regional stability. The meeting, which included a ceremonial Guard of Honour for General Campbell, underscored the continued strategic partnership between Pakistan and Australia in security matters.
