Pakistan and Algeria Celebrate Deep-Rooted Ties on Algeria’s National Day


Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, attended Algeria’s National Day ceremony as the chief guest, highlighting the enduring friendship and economic collaboration between Pakistan and Algeria.



During the event in Islamabad, Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan conveyed congratulations from the Government and people of Pakistan to Algeria. He praised Algeria’s journey to independence as a testament to its courage and national pride, emphasizing the historical ties between the two nations.



Mr. Khan noted that Pakistan was an early supporter of Algeria’s independence movement and was among the first to recognize its provisional government in 1963. He highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the countries in international forums like the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement.



Focusing on economic collaboration, Mr. Khan pointed out the potential for joint efforts in trade, industry, and investment between the two countries. He encouraged Algerian investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s industrial sector, citing policies aimed at fostering growth and attracting foreign investment.



He remarked on Pakistan’s industrial revival under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, stressing the government’s commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment that promotes innovation and long-term investment.



Mr. Khan concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening its partnership with Algeria, expressing hope that the nations could continue to grow together in industry and prosperity.
