Karachi: Four significant agreements have been signed between Pakistan and AD Ports Group, promising to revolutionize the nation’s trade, transport, and logistics systems, These agreements are expected to generate billions of rupees for the national treasury annually and create over ten thousand new jobs, as stated during the governor’s visit to AD Ports.
According to Sindh Governor House, the visit saw CEO AD Port Pakistan Khurram Aziz briefing Governor Tesori on the benefits and impacts of the collaboration with AD Ports. The event was attended by key figures, including the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakhit Atiq Al Rumithi, CEO of AD Ports Group Muhammad Ali Tamimi, and CEO of International Ports Asia and Africa Abdul Aziz Balochi.
Governor Tesori emphasized the importance of infrastructural development under the agreement, particularly at Karachi Port, which is set to enhance its capacity and emerge as a significant trade hub connecting South Asia, the Arab world, and Africa. He highlighted the crucial role of workers in these projects, acknowledging their contributions to strengthening the country’s economy and prioritizing their welfare.
In response to media inquiries, Governor Tesori assured that India’s stance would not impact the Champions Trophy, and reiterated the commitment of Pakistan’s leadership to foster trade ties with the UAE, aiming for economic stability akin to that of the United Arab Emirates. The governor celebrated the collaboration by cutting a cake with workers to mark the 53rd Union Day of the United Arab Emirates.
