According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Umar Saif, the Minister for IT and Telecommunication, made this statement while presiding over a meeting in Islamabad, which was focused on the finalization of Pakistan’s National Space Policy. Dr. Saif emphasized the significance of a policy that not only upholds the nation’s interests but also positions Pakistan to leverage the swiftly progressing innovations in the private sector.
The meeting was marked by the presence of representatives from key organizations, including SUPARCO (the national space agency), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, SIFC, and SPD. The participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the pivotal aspects of the forthcoming National Space Policy.
