Pakistan Agricultural Research Council Hosts Workshop on Rabi Crops Management

Islamabad, The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) is set to conduct a three-day training workshop on “Management of Rabi Crops for Better Yield” at the National Research and Agricultural Center (NRAC). The workshop scheduled from the 23rd to the 25th of March, 2024, is expected to attract farmers, agronomists, and agricultural students committed to increasing the yield of Rabi crops through improved management techniques.

According to Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, the workshop aims to disseminate knowledge and best practices for the cultivation of Rabi crops, which include wheat, barley, mustard, chickpea, and various types of lentils and beans that are sown in winter and harvested in spring. It is part of PARC’s ongoing efforts to enhance agricultural productivity in the country by equipping stakeholders with the latest agricultural research and technologies.

Participants of the workshop will be guided on advanced methods of crop management, soil fertility, pest control, and harvesting techniques designed to boost crop yield and quality. The event is one of the many initiatives by PARC to support Pakistan’s agrarian economy and ensure food security in the region.
