Islamabad: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, affirmed the nation’s commitment to regional peace during a visit to the Line of Control (LoC) over the weekend. Speaking to international and local media representatives, Tarar emphasized that Pakistan remains resolute in responding forcefully to any aggression from India.

The visit, facilitated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, aimed to counteract what Pakistan describes as unfounded propaganda from India. Media representatives were shown locations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which India has previously alleged to be terrorist hideouts. According to Tarar, these areas are, in fact, civilian regions, and the tour served to debunk India’s claims with evidence from the ground.

Addressing the media, Tarar highlighted Pakistan’s history of advocating for peace and emphasized that the nation condemns terrorism globally. He called on India to address human rights concerns in occupied Kashmir instead of making baseless allegations against Pakistan.

Tarar’s remarks underscore ongoing tensions between the two countries, with Pakistan asserting its readiness to defend its sovereignty while maintaining its stance as a peace-promoting state. The minister concluded by stating that the media visit revealed the truth behind India’s accusations, offering a counter-narrative to India’s portrayal of the situation along the LoC.
