Pakistan Advocates for Palestinian Rights and Ceasefire at International Forums


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s active role in advocating for the rights of Palestinians and calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza during his speech in the Senate. He stressed the need for initiating war crimes proceedings against Israel at the International Court of Justice to address the ongoing issues in Gaza.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar emphasized the urgency of ending the genocide in Gaza and ensuring the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the region. He noted that Pakistan has already dispatched nine shipments of aid to support the Palestinian people in their crisis.



In his address, Dar also mentioned that the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has made provisions for students from Gaza to complete their studies in Pakistan, reflecting the country’s commitment to educational support for those affected by the conflict.



Additionally, in response to a Calling Attention Notice, Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari discussed the efforts being made to enhance the performance of the country’s electricity distribution companies. He assured that rapid measures are being taken to improve their efficiency and reliability.
