Pakistan Advocates for Immediate Aid to Gaza Ahead of Ramadan

Islamabad, In a pressing appeal, Pakistan has urgently called for immediate and unrestricted aid for the residents of the Gaza Strip in anticipation of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. This plea highlights the deepening humanitarian crisis in the region amid escalating tensions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, emphasized Pakistan’s stance during a weekly media briefing in Islamabad. She expressed the country’s support for the Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which recently convened in Jeddah.

Baloch explicitly condemned the severe Israeli aggression faced by civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip and the entirety of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. She reiterated the Council’s position, holding the occupying force entirely accountable for the civilian genocide in Gaza.

Furthermore, Baloch underscored Pakistan’s alignment with the Council’s demand for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, along with the cessation of Israeli hostilities. Pakistan’s call for action underscores the critical need for humanitarian aid and a peaceful resolution to the conflict, especially with the sacred month of Ramadan on the horizon.
