ISLAMABAD, On the occasion of the International Day of Human Rights, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani emphasized Pakistan’s call for sustained and coherent global responses to promote a culture of peace and address unresolved conflicts, which he identified as major impediments to achieving freedom, justice, and equity.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Jilani’s message highlighted the ongoing conflicts in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and occupied Palestine. He expressed Pakistan’s firm solidarity with the people of these regions, condemning the occupying powers’ disregard for international human rights and humanitarian laws. He emphasized that such actions could not suppress the aspirations of the occupied people for liberty and self-determination.
Furthermore, the Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue extending moral, diplomatic, and political support to the Kashmiri and Palestinian peoples. He emphasized the importance of their struggle against occupation and their right to self-determination, underlining Pakistan’s role in advocating for these issues on the global stage.
