Pakistan Advocates for Enhanced SCO Collaboration in Military Medicine

Rawalpindi, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), emphasized the need for strengthened multilateral collaboration among Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states in the realm of military medicine. Speaking at the opening session of the ‘Challenges in Military Medicines’ seminar held in Rawalpindi, General Mirza highlighted the imperative to collectively address the emerging healthcare challenges, including pandemics and humanitarian crises.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the CJCSC underscored Pakistan’s commitment to its partnership with the SCO, expressing pride in the nation and armed forces’ dedication to enhancing this cooperation. General Mirza’s remarks at the seminar reflect Pakistan’s proactive stance towards fostering dialogue and developing response strategies that can benefit all SCO member states facing similar healthcare challenges in military contexts.
