Islamabad: During his visit to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Inter Provincial Coordination, Rana Sanaullah Khan, emphasized the importance of sports education in fostering peace and development globally. He participated in the ‘Change the Game’ Ministerial Forum, an event aligned with the opening ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he represented Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rana Sanaullah lauded UNESCO for its pivotal role in organizing the forum, which focused on leveraging quality physical education and sport for sustainable social legacies. He highlighted how major sports events like the Olympics serve as platforms for unity, bringing together people worldwide in a spirit of healthy competition and mutual respect.
The Advisor also stressed the benefits of physical education and sports in developing key life skills, including leadership, communication, and team-building, while promoting cultural diversity and enhancing the mental and physical health of the youth. He reaffirmed UNESCO’s vital position in supporting member states through capacity-building programs in physical education and sports.
