Islamabad: Pak-Saudi relations are on an upward trajectory, with bilateral ties growing stronger each day. He highlighted the recent meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, marking their fifth encounter in five months.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister noted that Saudi Arabia is set to invest billions of dollars in Pakistan’s economy, with several projects already underway. This includes the opening of petrol stations by Saudi company Aramco and discussions on launching the Saudi fast-food chain Albaik in Pakistan. The Crown Prince views Pakistanis as brothers, expressing satisfaction with Pakistan’s commitment to implementing agreed-upon projects and memorandums of understanding.
The Minister mentioned that more delegations from Saudi Arabia are expected to visit Pakistan, potentially increasing investments and bilateral trade. Both nations have consistently supported each other during challenging times. During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes to the Crown Prince, and they agreed to enhance bilateral investments and trade. The Prime Minister also presented Pakistan’s viewpoint at the water summit and discussed the Indus Water Treaty.
