P.M. Meets Chinese, U.N. Leaders In New York For Global Development Initiative


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif participated in a significant meeting focused on global development in New York, chaired by Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The meeting, themed “Recommit to Our Original Aspirations, United to Build a Brighter Future for Development,” saw high-level participation, including United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.



Sharif held informal discussions with Premier Li Qiang and also met with Guterres during the session.



The Prime Minister’s presence at the meeting emphasizes the robust relationship between Pakistan and China.



During a trip to China in August, Sharif praised President Xi Jinping’s Global Development Initiative (GDI) vision, highlighting its importance for regional and global progress.
