Operational Readiness Crucial for Success in Modern Warfare, Says Naval Chief

Karachi: Operational preparedness is essential for success in modern warfare, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized during his address at the Air War Course at the PAF Air War College Institute. Speaking as the chief guest, Admiral Ashraf highlighted recent developments on the eastern front as evidence of the need for continuous readiness and strategic planning.

The Naval Chief praised Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu for his leadership in modernizing the Pakistan Air Force. He noted that the swift integration of advanced technologies has significantly enhanced the operational readiness of the Air Force and adjusted the region’s deterrence dynamics.

Admiral Ashraf noted that the Pakistan Navy’s combat capabilities have seen substantial growth across surface, sub-surface, and aerial domains, creating a more agile maritime force. He stressed the importance of inter-services collaboration for achieving strategic goals and announced plans for more frequent joint operational exercises with the Air Force.

Highlighting technological innovation’s role in contemporary conflicts, he mentioned an upcoming collaboration between the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park and the Pakistan Maritime Science and Technology Park. This partnership aims to advance indigenous capabilities in unmanned systems, enhancing Pakistan’s technological self-reliance in defense.

Admiral Ashraf also acknowledged the academic and professional excellence at the Air War College Institute, noting its role in preparing future military leaders to tackle the challenges of modern warfare. Upon his arrival, he was received by President Air War College Institute Air Vice Marshal Rashid Habib.
