Operation Sindor Sparks Controversy Amid Diplomatic Strain

Islamabad: A senior Pakistani political figure, Senator Irfan Siddiqui of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, has publicly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speech, characterizing it as an acknowledgment of defeat in the wake of Operation Sindor. In a statement released on the social media platform ‘X’, Siddiqui described Modi’s remarks as a “lamentation of a defeated person.”

Senator Siddiqui asserted that Operation Sindor has left India, referred to as ‘Bharat Mata’, with metaphorical ashes instead of gains. He suggested that Modi’s speech was an attempt to cover up the embarrassment faced by India after its confrontation with the Pakistani armed forces.

The senator further commented on the depth of the perceived humiliation, stating that the stains of defeat are indelible and cannot be erased by rhetoric. His remarks come amidst rising tensions between the two neighboring countries, adding a layer of complexity to the existing geopolitical dynamics.
