Ongoing Repatriation of Illegal Afghan Nationals

Islamabad, The process of repatriating illegal foreign nationals, including Afghans, is progressing, with thousands returning to Afghanistan via the Torkham and Chaman borders daily.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, yesterday alone saw 3,043 Afghan nationals, traveling in 312 vehicles, return to their homeland. To date, a total of 220,398 illegal Afghan nationals have been repatriated. The government has also established transit camps equipped with necessary facilities in various districts to facilitate the dignified return of Afghan nationals, with many currently awaiting voluntary repatriation at border areas.
