One Dead, Ten Injured in Ramban Road Accidents


Jammu: One person died and ten others were injured in two separate road accidents in the Ramban district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the first accident occurred when a truck skidded off the road near Battery Chashma on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway and plunged into a 700-foot deep gorge. The mishap resulted in the death of one person, identified as Yawer Ali, and left three others injured. Locals promptly responded, rushing to the scene to assist and transport the injured to the hospital. The condition of the injured individuals is reported to be critical.



In a separate incident, at least seven people suffered injuries when two Tavera passenger vehicles collided. Officials confirmed that all injured passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment. Law enforcement has taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.



Accidents on the Jammu-Srinagar highway are a frequent occurrence, with the road’s poor condition often cited as a contributing factor. Despite development claims, the infrastructure in the region remains inadequate, leading to regular accidents and loss of lives.
