Lahore, February 12, 2022 (PPI-OT): With the approval of Hon’ble Chief Justice Lahore High Court/ Chairperson BoM, Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore, the Academy has designed One-day Distance Learning Training Sessions for Family Court Judges in Punjab through Webinar (All Districts and Tehsils), from 26th January to 10th March, 2022.
The training sessions inaugurated with the recitation of Holy Qur’an. In the opening remarks, Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Training (Distance Learning) PJA, said that due to COVID-19 pandemic the Academy is striving to utilize latest technology for conducting training programs to enhance knowledge and capacity of the Judicial Officers in Punjab.
Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Director Administration, in his inaugural address gave an overview of the program and emphasized that the objectives of the training session are to clear basic concept of family litigation, its effects on the society overall so to apply proper and active judicial mind/approach.
The subject of inaugural training session was “West Pakistan Family Courts Act, 1964 (Act XXXV of 1964) – Overall View and Scope, Jurisdiction of the Family Courts” addressed by Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Trainings (Distance Learning) PJA, started from 12:00 noon and concluded at 01:15 pm.
