On the orders of IG Punjab, steps are being taken for the welfare of police personnel affected by Corona

Lahore, September 01, 2021 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani said that despite the dangers of Corona, police officers and personnel across the province are working hard, diligently and with commitment to protect the lives and property of the people so that an atmosphere of peace and order prevails in the society and the process of service delivery to the citizens may be continued uninterruptedly. He further said that in order to be safe from corona, officers and personnel should ensure implementation of on-duty security SOPs in all cases and if any officer has not been vaccinated, it should be ensured on priority basis.

He further said that steps are being taken on priority basis for the welfare of the officers and personnel affected by Corona while on duty and Corona funds are also being provided to them for the convenience and care of the affected officers and personnel. In the light of the orders of IG Punjab, Additional IG Welfare and Finance Muhammad Farooq Mazhar has released relief funds for 278 more personnel affected by Corona which will get Rs 25,000 each.

Additional IG Welfare and Finance Muhammad Farooq Mazhar said that during the recent wave of Corona, 278 personnel in all the districts of the province have fallen victim to Corona virus for which funds of Rs. 6950,000 have been released by the department. He further said that since the inception of Corona, Rs. 06 crore 72 lacs and 75 thousand has been released for 2691 personnel whereas such steps for welfare of personnel shall also be taken in future.
