On the direction of chief minister Punjab Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar, crackdown on arrest of Sialkot tragedy accused is being carried out on fast, scientific basis 

Lahore, December 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar, crackdown has been intensified for the arrest of accused in the death of a Sri Lankan citizen in Sialkot factory. Punjab Police are conducting investigation of the case on scientific basis.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has assigned task to Secretary Prosecution to fully follow up the case. Regarding the latest details of the case, Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that more seven key suspects have been arrested who can be seen in video footage torturing a foreign national.

He said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar, the investigation of case is being carried out on scientific basis and other evidences i.e. CCTV footage, mobile calls data, in the last 24 hours, police have arrested seven more principal accused.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that according to the investigation so far, 20 main characters out of 125 under investigation arrested suspects has come to light while the process of inciting provocation and identification of those involved in violence among other under investigation suspects is also underway. He vowed that Punjab Police would soon arrest all the accused in this tragic incident and bring them to justice. Giving more details regarding the case, Punjab Police spokesperson said that as per directions of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, crackdown against accused is underway uninterruptedly by Punjab Police.

So far, hundreds of raids have been carried out at various places. He said that 07 accused who were arrested after being traced last night can be seen torturing in the video footage and sticks are also visible in hands of some of the accused. According to Punjab Police spokesperson, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and IG Punjab are personally supervising the entire investigation process and investigation process is being completed as soon as possible.
