Islamabad: The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment, Ms. Fauzia Viqar, presented the Annual Report for 2024 to President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. The report underscores the effectiveness of the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) in resolving cases.
The report reveals that FOSPAH concluded 673 cases in 2024, illustrating its dedication to justice and efficient resolution of complaints. Additionally, the report states that FOSPAH received 168 complaints concerning the deprivation of women’s property rights, resolving 139 of these cases, which accounts for over 82%, during the financial year 2023-24.
During the meeting, the Federal Ombudsperson assured the President of FOSPAH’s swift action in addressing complaints related to women’s property rights. This commitment is seen as a crucial step in safeguarding the rights of women and ensuring fair treatment in property matters.
