Islamabad, In a significant political development, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, has officially recognized Omar Ayub Khan as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lower House. This decision came after a meeting with members of the opposition, marking a new phase of political leadership within the assembly.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the appointment of Omar Ayub was the outcome of a meeting in Islamabad, attended by notable opposition members including Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Malik Amir Dogar, and Omar Ayub himself. The majority of the opposition members endorsed Ayub’s nomination, leading to his formal declaration as the Leader of the Opposition.
