New Delhi: Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has arrived in Delhi to discuss the restoration of statehood with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. His visit includes a series of high-profile meetings aimed at addressing the political status of the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Abdullah is scheduled to meet Shah this evening and Modi tomorrow. He intends to use these meetings to present a cabinet resolution that advocates for granting statehood to the region. This resolution was recently passed and marks a significant effort to alter the current political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.

This visit is Abdullah’s first official engagement with Modi and Shah since his party won a majority in the recent elections held in the territory. His agenda is clear: to push for formal recognition and administrative rights for Jammu and Kashmir as a state within India.
