Omani Ambassador Discusses Bilateral Ties and Terrorism with Prime Minister Sharif in Islamabad

Islamabad: Today, the Ambassador of Oman, Fahad Sulaiman Khalaf Al Kharusi, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, discussing several critical issues, including the recent terrorist attack in Oman that affected many Pakistani nationals.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House opened with Prime Minister Sharif condemning the terrorist attack in Muscat’s Wadi Kabir district, which resulted in multiple Pakistani casualties. He praised Oman’s swift actions following the incident and offered Pakistan’s assistance in combating terrorism. The discussions also touched on reinforcing bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, energy, and defense sectors.

During the visit, the Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to visit Pakistan and expressed gratitude towards Ambassador Al Kharusi for promoting a trade and investment delegation to Pakistan. The Ambassador reciprocated the sentiments, underlining his country’s intention to deepen trade and investment links with Pakistan.
