Islamabad: The 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women commenced in Islamabad today, marking the beginning of a two-day event focused on the socio-economic and political empowerment of women in OIC member countries. The conference aims to discuss challenges and propose solutions for advancing women’s empowerment across the Muslim world.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conference gathers ministers in charge of women and family affairs, senior government officials, representatives of OIC institutions, international organizations, and development partners. Participants will discuss strategies to promote women’s empowerment through socio-economic and political means. As the host and Chair, Pakistan will lead the proceedings, aiming to foster dialogue, build consensus, and promote collective efforts among OIC member states.
