OIC Urges UN Action Against Israeli Aggression in West Bank and Gaza

Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as ongoing Israeli war crimes and acts of organized terrorism in the West Bank. The statement comes amid rising tensions and violence in the region, particularly involving extremist settler groups.

In its declaration, the OIC highlighted the systematic destruction of infrastructure in refugee camps throughout the West Bank, calling for accountability and justice for these actions. The organization emphasized the need for Israel to be held responsible for its alleged crimes in Palestinian territories.

The OIC also expressed grave concern over the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza, attributing the crisis to continued actions by Israel, including genocide, starvation, and the blockade, all of which have led to significant infrastructure damage.

Furthermore, the OIC criticized the current process of distributing humanitarian aid, noting that civilians are being targeted while waiting for assistance. The organization stressed the urgency of addressing these issues to prevent further harm to the civilian population.

In an appeal to the international community, the OIC called upon the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities by imposing an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza. The organization urged the opening of all border crossings to allow sufficient humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and called for international protection for the Palestinian people.

This appeal by the OIC underscores the ongoing struggle and humanitarian challenges faced by Palestinians, as well as the need for urgent international intervention to address the growing crisis.
