Brussels, Ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states in Brussels have collectively called upon the European Union to actively intervene and facilitate an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, in response to the ongoing Israeli aggression. The envoys stressed the urgent need for the EU to play a crucial role in ending the conflict and holding Israel accountable for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the joint press conference by the OIC ambassadors in Belgium highlighted the critical situation in the Gaza Strip amid Israel’s military actions. The envoys emphasized the EU’s responsibility to help end impunity and provide international protection for the Palestinian people. They also stressed the importance of establishing humanitarian corridors to ensure the swift and safe delivery of essential supplies like food, water, fuel, and medicine to the civilian population in Gaza, demanding immediate action to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
