Quetta: Deputy Commissioners and Collectors in the Quetta Division have been instructed to implement precautionary measures to prevent urban flooding and loss of lives during the upcoming monsoon season.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, A circular from the office of the Commissioner, Quetta Division, mandated that the Deputy Commissioners/Collectors of Quetta, Pashin, Qala Abdullah, and Chaman hold meetings to coordinate and make necessary arrangements for the monsoon season. The directive emphasized personal responsibility of Field Officers for any loss of life or property in their areas and urged collaboration with relevant departments to minimize risks and ensure the availability of essential equipment. Immediate reporting of decisions made in these meetings was also required.
